1″ thick Foam Barrier Composite with Facing (10 ft. Roll)

A sandwich composite incorporating 2 layers of dBcloth acoustical foam and a single barrier septum. When applied to sheet metal, plastic, or wood, the isolation foam layer, typically 1/4″ thick, decouples the barrier while the thicker absorption layer reduces airborne sound.

This composite is used in many engine compartments that are driving generators, pumps, hydraulics, etc. The reflective mylar face helps to reject radiant heat while the foam barrier combination gives excellent noise reduction.

Note that this manufacturer uses “mechanical fasteners” to anchor the composite to the enclosure walls and roof panels.
